1. Introduction
VJM Writing Services is committed to providing high-quality copywriting, consulting, editing, and content strategy services. This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines our practices regarding refunds, cancellations, and deposits for all projects. It is intended to be read in conjunction with our Terms and Conditions.
2. Payment Structure
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to commence work on all projects.
The remaining 50% is due prior to the delivery of the final project deliverables.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe, and clients are responsible for any transaction fees.
3. Cancellation Policy
Before Project Commencement:
If the Client cancels the project before work has commenced, a refund of the deposit may be issued, minus any processing fees, provided that no preparatory work has been carried out.
After Project Commencement:
If the Client cancels the project after work has commenced, the 50% deposit is non-refundable.
If substantial work has already been completed at the time of cancellation, VJM Writing Services reserves the right to invoice the Client for additional work performed based on the agreed hourly rate or project scope.
Failure to Provide Necessary Information:
If the Client fails to provide necessary information or materials to complete the project within a reasonable timeframe, VJM Writing Services reserves the right to:
Cancel the project and retain the deposit, or
Invoice for work completed to date, based on the standard hourly rate.
4. Refund Policy
Non-Refundable Deposits:
The 50% deposit is non-refundable once work has commenced, as it secures the Client’s booking and compensates for time and resources allocated.
Refunds for Completed Work:
No refunds will be provided for work that has been completed and delivered in accordance with the project scope.
If the Client is dissatisfied with the final deliverables, one round of revisions is included, as outlined in the Terms and Conditions. Additional revisions will incur additional fees.
Exceptional Circumstances:
Refund requests for exceptional circumstances, such as non-delivery or significant deviation from the agreed project scope, will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
The Client must notify VJM Writing Services of such issues within 7 days of delivery to request a review.
5. Revisions and Disputes
Revisions are provided as per the Terms and Conditions.
Additional revisions beyond the agreed scope will incur fees at the standard hourly rate.
If a dispute arises regarding the quality of work or adherence to the project scope, the Client must notify VJM Writing Services within 7 days of delivery to discuss a resolution.
6. Chargebacks and Disputes
Any attempt to initiate a chargeback or payment dispute without prior communication with VJM Writing Services will be considered a breach of contract.
VJM Writing Services reserves the right to pursue legal action to recover funds and associated costs if a chargeback is initiated without cause.
Disputes regarding payments or deliverables will be resolved in accordance with the Dispute Resolution clause in the Terms and Conditions.
